Down the Tubes with the Republicrats

You still need more proof that the Democratic Party is actually the left wing of the Republicrat Party?

Here is an interesting roundup of how leading Democrats as well as the think-tankers and media pundits who work with them are in fact practically on the same wavelength as the Republicans.

But when you get to the end, you can see where The Nation’s Ari Berman treats readers to the same old line: If you’re a liberal/progressive, you have to go with the Democrats. And if you’re the Democratic Party, now is the time to rake in the votes by taking a stand that is different from that of the GOP.

And that is why America is going down the tubes. The Republicrat system is dragging us down into a morass of never-ending war, corruption, corporate rule, poverty, political scams, raw partisanship, and lawlessness, yet we are supposed to choose between one of the two branches.

Figure out how to rake in the votes for your party, not do what’s right for America and the world. Figure out how to amass more wealth and power for yourself and your cronies, not do what’s right for America and the world. Figure out how to satisfy your corporate backers, not do what’s right for America and the world. Figure out how to get more in political contributions, not do what’s right for America and the world.

It’s a rotten, corrupt, and irredeemable system, yet the media pundits and commentators and everyone else with a stake in this rotten-to-the-core system tell us we have to stay with it.
