I think their analysis is wrong. My take is that this multi-year decline in terms of both kWh per capita and gWh per $ trillion real GDP is because of the decline of industrial society. Underlying that is net energy decline, which raises the cost of energy to society (yes, oil is now cheap, but that just means that someone other than the consumer is paying the costs). -- RF
